Palnata7 is a Coast Salish woman from the Tla’amin Nation, on the Sunshine Coast, and her English name is Robbi Wilson. Robbi became a Life Skills Instructor in 2004, developing and facilitating programs throughout many years for Life Skills, Family, Pre-Employment Bridging, Homelessness, Elder, Recreation, Youth and Social Enterprise training through her work with a number of Indigenous non-profit societies in Vancouver. Robbi has also served as an elected leader in her community, participating in strategic and business planning. Robbi decided to form her own business EMERGE
Wings of Change Consulting and has also worked in over a dozen Indigenous communities in BC. She believes in raising awareness about the effects of colonization on Indigenous People, on our Indigenous communities, and supports a return to the strong foundation of culture and wellness. Robbi works with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities to support their process of living and working together in wellness; from a basis of mutual understanding and respect. Robbi is a married mother of one, and since 2012 has lived in her husband’s territory in North Vancouver, and is active in her Indigenous culture and ceremonies.
