Definition of soul

2 : the spiritual principle embodied in human beings, all rational and spiritual beings, or the universe

There is an ancient part of every human being, to which we refer to as the soul. The soul is the part of us that knows its place in the eternal story of the world. It is the soul that reminds us where we have come from and what we might be here for. It tells us of our indispensable belonging and our relationship to all other things. Our soul holds our dreams, guides our imaginings, and cries out when in despair. It connects our nighttime with our daytime, our conscious with our subconscious, our dreams with our visions. It is both tender and protector, nurturer and healer, changemaker and shapeshifter; Without it, we are lost.

A sanctuary, derived from the Latin word sanctuarirum, is a sacred place of refuge and protection and was originally thought to contain something holy. 

Soul Sanctuary is a loving refuge of creativity, healing, and connection for every soul. Whether you come out of simple curiosity, in need of healing, for inspiration and connection, or weaving and dreaming, Soul Sanctuary is a place of comfort and deep listening. It is a safe space to express what hasn’t been expressed and to welcome back what may have been exiled. It is a place to rediscover what is yours, to remember what has been forgotten, and to find your unique place of belonging within the soul of the world.
